The challenge

Premium skincare brands need a Shopify Plus storefront that doesn't look or feel like a Shopify store — editorial-magazine typography, restrained color, real product photography, ingredient-led PDPs, and a routine builder that turns skincare confusion into a one-screen decision. Off-the-shelf themes can't deliver the typography control, layout flexibility, or the quiz-to-routine flow premium DTC buyers expect in 2026.

The approach

Built Verdant as a premium botanical skincare Shopify Plus flagship with a headless React frontend, editorial brand language (serif typography, warm botanical palette, real-photo PDPs), a 5-question quiz that tag-scores answers into a personalized AM/PM routine, Klaviyo flows for browse-abandon and post-purchase, Recharge subscriptions with skip/pause anytime, and a CRO-tuned PDP architecture (sticky ATC, social proof, ingredient stories, reviews). Editorial Journal, Routine, and About surfaces position the brand as a 'slower ritual' alternative to mass-market skincare.
