The challenge

Publishers Clearing House needed to migrate off their legacy ecommerce platform and rebuild on Shopify. Page load times exceeded 3 seconds, the catalog architecture was creaking, and conversion rates were suffering. The migration had to maintain brand recognition, preserve SEO equity, and integrate their sweepstakes system on day one — with no downtime for a household-name brand.

The approach

Migrated PCH onto Shopify and rebuilt the full catalog architecture from the ground up. Mapped URL redirects to preserve SEO equity, optimized performance across cart, checkout, and mobile flows to achieve sub-1-second loads. Implemented on-page SEO improvements for ecommerce product pages, built a custom bonus threshold bar, and integrated with the CleanSweeps API for sweepstakes functionality.
